Summer is in full swing and with the longer days and the warmer weather there's simply no excuse not to take advantage of the Festival City. At LUX, we're so excited about summer, we're actually kicking off the hashtag #SummerLuxin so we can keep up with how you're embracing your summer and share ours with you.
This month we thought we'd switch it up and split June's best things to eat, see, and do, into Northside and Southside (and if you're planning to cross the river a few times, be sure to use the streetcar). So regardless of what side of the North Saskatchewan you find yourself on, there's plenty of amazing ways to spend June!
Drinks in the Fort: Step back in time for the perfect date night at Fort Edmonton Park in the Mahogany Room. Enjoy a custom cocktail at this aptly named bar, before finishing your night off with a romantic walk through the park. They're open seven days a week until 10 pm.
Rainbow Madness: In case you hadn't heard the news, or seen the rainbow crosswalks, this year the YEG Pride Festival is moving to Whyte Ave! Although there will be a whole week celebrating the 35th annual YEG Pride Festival, make sure you don't miss the parade on June 6. Find more details here.
Patio Mondays: As if you needed another reason to grab a drink and hang out on the Three Boars gorgeous patio, starting in June they will be hosting Industry night every Monday night after 9 pm, featuring a $10 weekly staff meal.
To Market to Market: Although there are multiple markets throughout Edmonton, and one of our favourite is right downtown. On Saturdays the City Centre Outdoors market stretches down 104 st, making shopping trips feel more like a walk in the park than a chore. Find out more here.

Hip-Hop & Pancakes: Back by popular demand is The Common's Hip-Hop Brunch. The first come first serve event was a huge hit last time, so be sure to wake up early and get ready to enjoy some old-school hip hop while you brunch! Add it to your calendar here.
