LUX Night Out

Posted by Calissa R on

At LUX, we love nothing more than spending an evening with good friends, good eats and good times, and having the chance to get done-up in our fancy finest to do so. This week the whole staff got together for our LUXmas celebration.

The perks of working at LUX is that it is incredibly easy to find new products to shine up your night-out look and there is always someone near-by who can help you apply your eyelashes.

The night began at the store, full of bustling, bouncing LUX ladies getting their prep on.

Some of the looks for the evening

Danielle: Modern Sophistication & Natasha: Fashion Forward Flair

Danielle (left) “My night out look was built with Kevyn Aucoin Natura blush and Neolata blush, Paul & Joe lip liner, and Kevyn Aucoin precision eye liner. My hair was finished with Bumble Pret-a-Powder and City Swept and my nails rocked Deborah Lippman Gel Lab and the new spring color La Vie en Rose.  But I used like 50 other things too.”

Natasha (Right) “I prepped my party hair with Rahua shampoo, and indulged in my Oud conditioner. I styled with Bumble Shine Spray and SachaJuan Hair Oil. I used my Skyn Iceland Arctic Elixir to boost my complexion and kept my face simple with RMS un-cover up “11” and a touch of Kevyn Aucoin Natura blush. I let my lip color be the statement of this look.”

Rachel: Classic and Bright

Rachel (Right) “I was wearing Stila foundation, RMS un-powder, and Kevyn Aucoin Candlelit and added a little drama with Geisha Ink eyeliner and a red lip.”

Amanda: Red Carpet Glamour

“My look started with Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer to perfect any imperfections, then I used my two-step, no-fail approach to blush; first using Kevyn Aucoin Natura for shimmer and dimension, then some Kevyn Aucoin blush in Dolline for some girly coral flush. For my lips I used Kevyn liner in Blossom and matte lipstick in Enduring for the perfect pink-undertoned red lip. Finally the beautiful eyes and eyelashes I had expertly placed by the lovely ms. Aimee.”

There were more counters filled with products, last minute lashes and glitter nails than we can even account for to get us 20 ladies ready to hit the town..

The Marc on 106 street and 99 ave played host to our table of gorgeous women and we must say, the evenings’ meal was unbelievably good. (Seriously go try it out) The dessert beignets were to die for.

From there it was off to the Bower to dance the night away. We should note that it was -30 with the windchill, but many of us threw caution to the wind and donned our cutest heels and dresses.
