LUX Beauty Boutique founder Jennifer Grimm believes that when it comes to beauty, the experience is as important as the result.

Determined to satisfy other like-minded product junkies, Jennifer launched LUX Beauty Boutique in Edmonton in 1999. LUX Beauty Boutique quickly became the place where the cosmetic-obsessed gather to create, inspire and play.

Ever since elementary school I knew that I wanted to own my own business. The opportunity presented itself in 1999, after earning my Bachelor of Commerce degree and completing a “Young Women Entrepreneur” course through HRDC, during which I wrote the business plan for LUX Beauty Boutique.

At the time of opening, there were only a handful of similar stores in the North Eastern United States. Today, the Beauty Boutique concept is wildly popular. Both large chains and independent stores have proliferated across the US and Canada.
