All of us at LUX are completely fascinated with false lashes and astonished by how they complete your makeup.   Here are 5 step-by-step instructions to apply your own false lashes and get you looking just like Kim Kardashian.

Step # 1:

Choose your lashes.  We carry Eyemimo at LUX, and they have several different styles, ranging from natural to very dramatic.

We chose #9.  They are my go to style for everyday wear.

Step #2:

Measure the length of the band.  Start on the inner corner of the eye and extend outward.

If the band extends beyond the length of your natural lash line, cut off the excess on the outer corner.

Step #3:

Apply a small amount of the lash adhesive (we love Duo) on the end of a Q-Tip. Then run the glue on the Q-Tip along the length of the band.  Make sure to apply the glue as close to the edge of the band as possible.  Wait 30 seconds so the glue becomes tacky before applying to the lash line.

Step # 4:

Apply the false lashes as close to your natural lash line as possible, starting from the inner corner of the eye and working outward.  I suggest using your fingers instead of tweezers, to avoid sticking yourself in the eye, however you can use whatever tool makes the job easiest.
As you can see the eyelash adhesive is still white and therefore is not fully dried.  If you need to adjust the position at all, you are still able to adjust it at this point.  Once the adhesive is clear though, it is set for good.

Step # 5:

Repeat on the other eye.

All done!

(As a finishing step, you may want to run an eyeliner over the band to clean up the edge if you like)
